Bucks County Opportunity Council is a non-profit human service agency providing services to low-income residents of Bucks County. BCOC’s mission is to reduce poverty and partner with our community to promote economic self-sufficiency. BCOC’s five program areas are: Economic Self-Sufficiency, Emergency Service, Food, Volunteer Income Tax Assistance and Weatherization. There are four site locations: Bristol, Doylestown, Quakertown and Warminster. Participants requesting services must meet income eligibility guidelines.

Experience Description:
A job shadowing experience following our Weatherization Home Energy Auditor, assessing the energy efficiency of homes for low income families and coordinating any improvements to be made to the homes with contractors. The goal of this program is to increase the energy efficiency of the homes to lower the utility bills for the individuals that are income eligible for the program.
